Auction participation

You may submit a startup URL and optional pitch to join the paid queue. New startups start with a minimum total bid of $10. A founder can choose a higher total and does not have to buy #1. Existing entries can raise their total by $1 or more.

Ranking and top-ups

Higher verified total bids rank higher. A top-up charges the difference between the current total and the new total. The queue can change while you review a quote or complete Checkout, so the displayed position is an estimate until the payment is verified and applied.

Payment

Stripe handles Checkout. A pending, canceled, abandoned, or failed Checkout does not rank a startup. GrillMe applies a successful verified payment once. Contact support about a duplicate charge or billing problem. These terms do not promise a blanket refund.

The Grill and public results

The startup at #1 is scheduled to be grilled next. People can answer three questions, leave product-focused roasts, and upvote roasts. Grill Score appears after five complete judges answer all three questions. Results can remain public and shareable.

Paid placement does not guarantee positive feedback, traffic, leads, sales, investment, revenue, or a particular score.

Content and acceptable use

The submitter is responsible for the startup URL, pitch, and other content they provide. Do not submit scams, malware, phishing, illegal content, impersonation, threats, doxxing, spam, or content that targets a person instead of a product. Do not manipulate votes, roasts, clicks, ranking, or payment outcomes.

GrillMe may reject, hide, remove, or stop displaying content and startups that break these rules or create legal, safety, or operational risk.

House Demo

GrillMe may show a clearly labeled House Demo when no real startup is active. Demo votes, roasts, clicks, and results are sample data. The House Demo does not pay, rank, affect auction prices, or enter the real archive.

Availability and changes

GrillMe can pause, change, or remove features, listings, content, or the service. The service may be unavailable or incomplete at times. GrillMe does not promise a fixed auction schedule or a specific amount of traffic or feedback.
